An extremely desirable ecclesiastical form of mantle clock.
The
cathedral case is bronze with gold fire-gilding and silvering.
One
can see the exquisite detail throughout the complete
structure.The
pendulum swings to and fro in the cathedral door.

The movement is signed: " F.L. Hausburg Paris"
and the same
on the dial behind the fretted cathedral window at the
top.
It is also silk-thread suspension with eight day running
duration.
The clock strikes the half and full hours on a gong,
which is housed
in the base of the clock. The base is a very fine piece
of workmanship
in itself, being 'rosewood' with the finest of stringing
and style.
