An impressive antique Dutch wall clock. These clocks are sometimes called "Tail clocks
or Hood clocks "
 The case is solid oak and the hood is adorned with the " figures of fame and Atlas". The beautiful dial is painted with a genre scene of the Netherlands in the arch.The clock runs one day, striking the hours and half hour on a bell. There is an alarm mechanism also, the alarm dial is in centre of the dial. The pendulum is enclosed inside the 'tail'
of the case and is seen through the decorative  cast aperture .
