ENGLISH SKELETON CLOCK

This fine antique English Skeleton clock,was patterned after the famous Litchfield Cathedral. It is the only cathedral to have three stone spires.

The architectural framework of this skeleton clock sits on a brass 5-tier stepped-up base, resting on a brass plate. This rests on a  rosewood case having four matching turned feet.  An old antique dome keeps it shining.

A silvered brass plaque is screwed to the front frame of the clock bearing the name:        A.Miller   Edinburgh

The excellent 8 day double fusee movement has anchor escapement, rack and snail striking, on a large steel gong. Note the 2 inch hour -wheel, thick plates and six spoke wheelwork.
The pendulum rod is unique and decorative.A brass decorative hammer strikes the coiled gong.

The dial is engraved and silvered.
